Craig McLain, 38, of Olathe, KS, died December 1st, as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was born on May 23, 1975 in Olathe, Kansas, the son of Michael and Mary (Julie) McLain. He worked as a project manager at Insulite Glass Company.
He enjoyed being with friends and family, riding his motorcycle, attending concerts, and caring for his wife, Kimberly, and their 5 month old son, Jackson. Craig always had a big heart for helping others. His new passion was to assist with the March of Dimes. He was a Grand Donor for Bikers for Babies in Fall of 2013.
Survivors include his wife Kimberly McLain; son Jackson James; parents, Mike & Julie McLain of Spring Hill, KS; sisters, Amy McLain of Gardner, KS; and Megan McLain of Olathe KS; two nieces Cali and Kyla Guyette & two nephews Colton Guyette and Brady Jensen. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Mary June and H.W. Rose and his paternal grandparents Stephen and Peggy McLain.
The visitation will be held at Penwell-Gabel Olathe Chapel on Thursday, December 5th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. The funeral will be held at Christ Community Church which is located at 20600 W. 119th Street in Olathe, Kansas. The burial will be at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens which is located at 13901 S. Black Bob Rd. We are asking that you come in Craig attire - jeans, Harley Davidson or K-State apparel and boots.
