Age 84, born November 26, 1920 in Augusta, KS to Roy and Gladys Thornton, passed away February 23, 2005 in Olathe, KS. Visitation will be held on Sunday, Feb. 27 from 2:00-4:00p.m. in Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 14275 S. Blackbob Rd., Olathe, followed by funeral services on Monday, Feb. 28, at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment, Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family suggests remembrances to the charity of your choice.
He is survived by his daughter Sue (Robert) Nugen of Gardner, KS, grandchildren Robert Nugen and Christina Hunt, great-grandchildren Rebecca Nugen, Christopher and Danny McGhee, his brother Cecil Thornton and his sister Flora Mae Clifton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Euphialeen, in 1989
