Claudette Veteto Wright

Claudette Olive Veteto Wright was called home by her Lord on Sunday night, May 20, 2012. A Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 24th at 2:00 p.m. at Redeemer Presbyterian Church, 9333 West 159th Street, Overland Park, KS. with burial to follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery immediately adjacent to the church. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 23rd from 6-8:00 p.m. also at Redeemer Presbyterian Church. On July 21st, 1949 in Colony, (SE) KS, Claudette was born a twin to HG and Francette Veteto. She and her twin were the third and fourth of soon to be six children. She grew up on the family farm 6 miles west of Colony on the eastern edge of the Flint Hills.
After spending her early life in Colony, she fell in love with the love of her life, Terry Wright of Iola, KS, and they were married on August 16th, 1968. To that union of 44 years were born 8 loving children: Mrs. Allyson Josette Wright-Groner of West Des Moines, IA; Mrs. Annye Elizabeth Wright-Howell of Overland Park; Mr. Jacob Wright; Mr. John Jeremy Wright of Boulder, CO; Mrs. Audra Kathleen Wright-Sherman of Boise, ID; Mrs. Alyvia Cecile Wright- Elliott of Kansas City, MO; Mr. Joshua Paul Wright of Moscow, ID; and Miss Aryn Lea Wright of Casa Grande, AZ. She is survived by her faithful companion and husband, Mr. Terry Eugene Wright of Overland Park, KS; her mother, Mrs. Francette Lightner-Veteto of Lee's Summit, MO; her eldest sister, Miss Sherry Ann Veteto of Lee's Summit, MO; her next oldest sister, Mrs. Candie Veteto- Shanahan of Paola, KS; her twin sister Mrs. Rochelle Veteto-Clayton of southern Johnson County, KS; her younger sister, Mrs. Jeanne Veteto-McVietty of Lee's Summit, MO; her younger and only brother, Mr. Mark Howard Veteto of Lee's Summit, MO; her 8 children, and 11 living grandchildren. Two unborn grandchildren preceded her in death.
Claudette was a devoted Christian mother and grandmother of Italian-French descent whom all the children adored. She mothered and grand-mothered faithfully all the children and grandchildren with dignity, great love, and in return, receives her family's undying love and respect.
Gifts in Claudette Wright's revered name may be given to the American Kidney Foundation or to the charity or church of your choice.
