Clarita Morris completed 88 years of a wonderful life as she died peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family Feb. 21, 2017. She is survived by her husband, Harry; her children Jim (Pam) of Leawood, and Nancy Fitzpatrick (Mark) of Kansas City; her brother, Don of Sedalia; and by her seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Clarita was born in Kansas, but at an early age her parents moved to Missouri, first to Kansas City and then to Versailles where her father established an osteopathic clinic. Carefree and happy years growing up in Versailles were followed by college at CMSC (Warrensburg) and CMC (Fayette). She and Harry were married in 1949 and her children were born in the '50s.
Although active in a number of civic, social and professional groups, Clarita's principal efforts were directed to her family. She was a super wife and mother.
After his retirement, she and Harry became world travelers (all 50 states and 45 countries) followed by home life the last few years.
Clarita's sunny disposition will be missed by all who knew her and especially by her loved ones. Graveside services and burial will be private.
