Christine "Chrissy" Diane Nelson, 60, of Gardner, passed away on September 2, 2022 at Olathe Medical Center comfortably surrounded by her family.
She was born on April 7, 1962 to Vernon and Diane Nelson of Olathe, KS, and she graduated from Olathe High School in 1980.
Chrissy was a career-minded person with Sport Clips for 19 years where she achieved a big goal going from a hair stylist to a National Recruiter.
Chrissy had a huge love for animals, enjoyed making jewelry, going to antique stores, avid NASCAR & Kansas City Chiefs fan and spending time with her grandchildren.
Chrissy is survived by her children, Ashley Hughes (Shawn) and Cameron Lightfoot, her furry companions Kyson, Izzy and Sami, her parents, Diane and Vernon Nelson, her sister Terri Olsen, her brother Greg Nelson, grandchildren Raigen, Brynlee and Weston Hughes, and many nieces and nephews that she cared greatly about it.
She was preceded in death by her sister & brother in law Debbie and Tom Lukas.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 10th from 10:30am-1:30pm at Beaver Shelter on the East Side of Lake Olathe.
