Christian John Burton, 27, of Olathe, went to heaven to be with the Lord on October 19, 2022 at his home.
Christian was born on June 18, 1995 to John M. and Vicki (Elam) Burton in Wichita, KS. He was a member of the Chickasaw Nation.
He graduated from Olathe North High School with a focus in animal health in 2014 and went on to attend the University of Kansas. Christian worked as a chef at AMC Theatres until the time of his illness in 2019.
Known as the SixthCourier online, he was affectionately known as "Six" by his friends and enjoyed a variety of games, specifically Final Fantasy XIV, Fallout, Dota 2, Minecraft, and League of Legends.
Christian was also an animal lover, and greatly enjoyed guinea pigs, capybaras, kiwis, corgis, pugs, and cats, and turtles/tortoises.
Summers were often spent at the amusement park riding roller coasters with his dad or friends. He could always be seen sporting a sweet shirt with wolves or turtles on it. Christian also loved food and trying new cuisines and he was always down to try out a new restaurant. He was also one to always order dessert and loved a good sweet treat, especially Coca-Cola Icees. Christian had an excellent sense of humor and loved to make others laugh.
He was also the best friend a person could have and an awesome son and brother. He was kind and caring, always willing to listen to those who needed it, and would always put others before himself.
Christian is survived by his loving parents, John M. and Vicki Burton, his sister, Mollie Burton, and his beloved cat, Kit Kat. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Norma and Sonny Elam of Brookeville, KS, and fraternal grandparents, Ruth and John C. "Jack" Burton of Syracuse, KS.
Memorials are suggested to the Olathe Animal Shelter. Donations can be made by accessing their page at https://www.olatheks.org/government/animal-control, in person at the shelter, or via mail at 505 E. Sunvale, Olathe, KS 66061.
