Chris Siler

Chris Siler, age 78, of Hays, Kansas, passed away Friday, December 25, 2009 at Good Samaritan Nursing Center in Olathe, KS. Cremation is planned. A celebration of her life and reception will be held at the Smoky Hills Country Club in Hays, KS on January 2 from 3 PM to 5 PM. The family suggests contributions to the Humane Society of the High Plains, P. O. Box 311, Hays, Kansas 67601.

Chris was born August 4, 1931 in Garden City, Kansas to John and Roberta Christie. She received her Nursing degree from the University of Kansas in 1953. She gave back to her community through numerous volunteer activities. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She leaves her children; Dr. Thomas (Cindy) Siler of St. Charles, MO, Sue (Grant) Sager of Olathe, KS, and Mary (Patrick) Burke of North Bend, OR, brother; Jack (Elaine) Christie of Wichita, KS, grandchildren; Nicholas, Jennifer (P.J.), Julie (Chris), Franklin, Christopher, Jonathan, and great-grand daughter; Madelyn.
