Chester L. Schwatken, 93, of Olathe, KS, passed away on July 14, 2016. He was born on October 22, 1922 in Hammond, KS.
He served in Sicily and Italy in World War II as an army ranger (Darbys.) Later he worked as a carpenter in the Kansas City area. He was also an active member of the Nazarene church.
Married for 68 years, he is survived by his loving wife Louetta; sons Terry and Greg; daughter Lisa Shipman; grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family will receive guests from 12:30 - 1:00pm on Monday, July 18th, at Westside Church of The Nazarene in Olathe, with a funeral service following at 1:00pm. Burial will take place at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens in Olathe.
The family suggests memorial contributions be given to a veterans organization of your choice.
