CHARLES FRANKLIN PATTERSON
Age 86, passed away June 12, 2005 in Olathe, KS. A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, June 18, 2005 in the Princeton Cemetery, Princeton, KS. Memorials suggested to the Ocheltree Baptist Church Building Fund, 20680 W. 199th ,Spring Hill, KS 66083. Arrangements, Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Olathe.
Charles was born September 27, 1918 in Caney, KS to Michael and Mamie Patterson. Charles married Virginia Wills on March 24, 1940. He served our country as a U.S. Navy Seabee during WWII, receiving the Victory Medal and the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal. After returning from the war, he worked at the CO-OP oil refinery in Coffeyville, KS. He retired from the CO-OP chemical plant in Lawrence, KS in 1980. The couple made their home in Ottawa for over 50 years.
Charles and Virginia were members of the Ocheltree Baptist Church in Spring Hill, KS. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Virginia, his daughter Judith
Middlebusher and her husband Irvin of Spring Hill, son Victor Patterson of Ottawa, five grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
