CHARLES N. NASSE , JR.
Age 59, passed away July 19, 2006 from renal cancer, at Kansas City Hospice Home, Kansas City, MO.. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 23, from 6:00-8:00p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 14275 S. Blackbob Rd., Olathe, KS, followed by funeral services on Monday, July 24 , at 10:00a.m., in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment, Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. Charlie was born March 22, 1947 in Southbridge, MA. He graduated from Southbridge High School where he played football, and later graduated from Ottawa University with a degree in Biology in 1969. In 1970, he married Sue Martin at the Ottawa University Chapel. He served in the U.S. Army from 1969-1972, in the Nike Missile Program. Following his service, he joined King Radio in Olathe, KS as a Manufacturing Engineer. He later developed the gas discharge display lab for King Radio. Charlie was employed by Honeywell International (Avionics Division) in Olathe, KS.
He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Olathe, KS. In his leisure time he enjoyed sailing, snow skiing, snorkeling, and fixing anything in need of repair. He cared deeply about his friends and neighbors, and enjoyed planning the 152nd Circle neighborhood events. Charlie loved his family, and adored his grandchildren, and was very proud of his Albanian heritage.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles N. Nasse, Sr., his uncles Dr. George Nasse, Dr. John Nasse, and Morgan Maddox.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sue Nasse of the family home, his sons Jason
Nasse and his wife, Katy, Overland Park, KS, and Ryan Nasse, Kansas City, MO, grandchildren Jeffrey, Hope and Henry Nasse. He is also survived by his mother, Frances Nasse of Saco, ME, and his sister Kathryn Nasse and her husband Larry Brown, of San Francisco, CA, and his mother-in-law, Glenita Martin, Lenexa, KS, sister-in-law, Joan Burke, and nephews, Tyler and Dane Trumbauer, all of Kansas City, MO.
