Charles Mccaughey

CHARLES "CHUCK" EDWARD McCaughey, age 21, passed away October 7, 2014 in Tampa, Florida.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to The Charles McCaughey Memorial Fund, in care of 24908 W. 91st Place, Lenexa, KS 66227.

Chuck was born on June 2, 1993 in Quincy, Illinois to Jeff and Lisa McCaughey. He was a 2011 graduate of St. James Academy High School, where he was a member of the varsity soccer program. At the time of his death, he was a Senior at St. Leo University in St. Leo, Florida, studying criminal justice.

Chuck enjoyed music and the outdoors, and had played in numerous bands and music groups throughout his lifetime. He also enjoyed hiking in the mountains and spending time at the beach.

We will miss his vibrant personality (which was often displayed in his footwear) and in honor of Chuck and in Celebration of his Life, his family invites friends to wear colorful shoes/clothing to his services.
Chuck is survived by his parents, Jeff and Lisa, his sisters Kara and Becca, grandparents Dan and Ginny Dugan, and Carol Sheller and husband George Sheller, aunts and uncles Lynne and Brent McKay, Cindy Neal, David and Melea McCaughey, Ted and Cindy McCaughey, and Greg Dugan, and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Thomas Edward McCaughey.
