Charles R. Goldsboro, son of Jerome and Angeline Goldsboro, passed away February 10 at Advent Hospital. At the time of his death he was living in Olathe, Kansas, and is survived by his loving wife Shirley Craig-Goldsboro, his daughters Sharon Craig-Pippin, Sylvia Craig-LoCoco, his sons Henry L. Craig, Jr and his wife Katherine Craig, and Hugh L. Craig of Rhode Island. He was the proud grandfather of Matthew LoCoco, Kelsey Peterson, Henry Nicholas Craig, and Brianna Craig.
Charles was born and raised in Bridgeton, NJ, and was a longtime member of Trinity Methodist Church of Gouldtown. He proudly served in the Air Force for 16 years before retiring. He is also survived by his sisters Edith Pierce, Gloria Goldsboro, Gladys Goldsboro, his brothers Dr. Jerome Goldsboro and his wife Sonia of Las Vegas, NV, Herman Goldsboro of Atlanta, Georgia and a host of nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, February 15th, at Penwell-Gabel funeral home in Olathe, KS from 7-9pm. Charles will then be flown home to Bridgeton, where he will be buried with his first wife Carmella (Smiley) Goldsboro, who passed away on September 8, 2004. Funeral arrangements in New Jersey will be arranged by Spry-Webster Funeral home and burial will be at the Haleyville United Methodist Church Cemetery, Port Norris, New Jersey.
