Charles William (Bill) Bowen died Friday, April 12, 2013. Bill was an incredible husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
After graduation from the University of Kansas, Bill served in the United States Navy from 1954 to 1957. Following his military service, Bill worked at IBM in St Louis and Kansas City for 40 years. Bill loved his family, friends, boating, a cold beer and the Kansas Jayhawks.
Bill is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Marge. He is survived by his children: Kim and Steve Davis, Kay Bowen, and Jeff and Lori Bowen; and his grandchildren: Meghan Chapman, Trey Davis, CJ Bowen, and Elle Bowen; his sister Carol Bowen Hatfield and brother, Jim Bowen; his sister in laws, Nina Ecton and Rachel Sanner.
Bill will be remembered at a private family service. His memory may be honored by contributing to the Olathe Medical Hospice Center, 2033 W. 151st Street, Olathe, Kansas 66061.
