Charlene Ann Upton, 92 Passed away on February 6, 2018 at her home in Olathe KS.
She was the only child to Frank and Catherine (Renz) Belinder born on August 25, 1925 in Kansas City MO. Charlene worked as a bank teller at Twin City State Bank in Kansas City, KS. She started at the bank in 1942 after graduating from Shawnee Mission Rural High School at age 16. She retired from Twin City State Bank in 1986. She worked at Suzee's Fashions for several years.
On October 9, 1948 she married Kenneth Upton and together they made their home in Olathe, KS.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Olathe, and currently was a member of New Hope Presbyterian Church.
Charlene is survived by her loving children, daughter Kathy Cole (husband Emmett) and son John Upton, and two grandchildren Eric and Becky and great grandson Brady.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Upton.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 10th at 11am at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Olathe KS with visitation an hour prior to service time.
Memorials are suggested to the Salvation Army of Olathe or American Heart Association.
