Bertha Carroll Mitchell, 72, of Olathe, passed away on March 1, 2020 at her home.
She was born on April 9, 1947 to Glenn and Ruby in Kansas City, MO.
Carroll worked as a teacher at Frontier Middle School for 34 years.
On November 27, 1983, she married Tom Mitchell. Carroll and Tom lived in Olathe, Kansas.
She was a member of United Methodist Church of the Resurrection and enjoyed reading, traveling, and gardening.
Carroll is survived by her loving husband, Tom, her son John, stepson Clay, and her grandchildren Lilly, Brayden, Carter, Ellie, and Caden.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and her aunt.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 5, 2020 from 6-8PM at Penwell-Gabel Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Olathe, Kansas.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 6, at 2PM at United Methodist Church of the Resurrection, Leawood, Kansas.
