Carol Rae White

April 6, 1932 — February 8, 2024

Carol Rae White, 91, of Overland Park, passed away on February 8, 2024 at Rose Estates.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024 at 10:30am at Penwell-Gabel Olathe Chapel with burial to follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Olathe, KS. A luncheon will follow at 6407 W. 147th Terrace, Overland Park, Kansas 66223.

She was born on April 6, 1932 to Charles and Georgia (Heisler) Jacobs at Kansas City, MO.

On May 3rd, 1954 she married Donald Gene White, Sr., and they made their home in Overland Park KS., then moved to Shawnee, KS, followed by Leawood KS, before eventually moving to Rose Estates Assisted Living in Overland Park KS.

Carol attended Baker University then went on to work in the Shawnee Mission School District as a Braillist, transcribing text books and schoolbooks into braille, and then worked for the RLDS church also transcribing text book materials into Braille.

Carol is survived by her loving son Donald Gene White Jr., and loving daughter Wendy A. (White) Oakes, 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister, Francis Tucker, and her brother, Charles Jacobs.
