Carol Louise (Stephens) Harrison, 70, of Olathe, KS, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Harrison. Carol was born in Oakland, CA on March 11, 1942 to Stubert Stephens and Shirley (Kroh) Stephens.
Having taught Kindergarten for nearly 40 years at Roseland Elementary in Shawnee Mission and Black Bob Elementary in Olathe, Carol was loved and respected by many. A social butterfly, she was always active in church and social groups, making friends and creating smiles everywhere she went. A loving, giving & caring wife, mother, sister & friend, she was especially passionate about her grandchildren. She was a joy to all who knew her, and will be sincerely missed.
She is survived by her brother, Stubert Stephens, his wife, Jeannie, and their children, Kirsten and Andrew; her daughter, Hillary (Craig) Boyd, her husband, Benton Boyd, and grandchildren Ashton & Abigail Boyd; daughter, Whitney (Craig) Dent, her husband, Jason Dent, and grandchildren Austin, Tyler, Hailey & Ashlynn Dent; along with numerous loving friends.
A burial service for the family and close friends will be 3pm at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, 13901 Blackbob Rd, Olathe KS 66210.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the First Baptist Church of Olathe, 2024 E. 151st St, Olathe, KS 66062.
