Donna Elliott, 60, of Cameron, OK, passed away Thursday, January 29, 2015, in Ft. Smith, AR. She was born April 18, 1954, in Kansas City, KS, to Lee L. and Dorothy G. (Bennett) Shannon. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Donna was foremost a homemaker; however she had many talents and had worked in a variety of jobs over the years. She was a dental assistant, she was the friendly face that checked you out at M & M Garden Center, and she worked for OSU Extension Service, to name a few. She was a member of Eastern Star, Belle Point Quilt Guild and OHCE.
She was preceded in death by a sister Rhonda L. Shannon.
Donna is survived by her husband Gary Elliott of the home; two sons Anthony Elliott of Tulsa, OK and Leslie Ryan Elliott of North Pole, AK; a daughter Kerry E. Shields of Gardner, KS; her parents Lee and Dorothy Shannon of Paola, KS; a brother Michel Shannon of Grove, OK; three sisters, Diana Wilkins of Louisburg, KS, Sharon Beaumont of Gardner, KS and Glenda Moore of Spring Hill, KS; seven grandchildren and a host of other family members, friends and loved ones.
Poteau viewing will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 30, 2015, at Grace Manor Funeral Home, Poteau, OK. Olathe, Kansas viewing will be Sunday 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 14275 Blackbob Rd. Olathe, KS 66062. Service will be Monday at 1:00 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home Chapel same address. Interment will follow service at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Olathe, KS.
