Carl J. Ward, 64, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on January 3, 2025.
He was born on February 16, 1960 to Carnell and Bernia (Estell) Ward at Ft. Riley, Kansas.
Carl was a raised in Junction City, Kansas, and graduated from Junction City High School, and Ft. Scott Community College.
He loved creating Military armies with model clay with his older brother, Pastor, J.W. Ward.
Carl worked as a Certified Nurses Aide for Indian Creek Nursing Center in Overland Park, Kansas until his retirement in 2021.
Carl is survived by brothers, Ivory(Francine) Ward of Lawton, Oklahoma, and Rev. J.W. (Minnie) Ward of Independence, Missouri. Sisters, Vivian (Bobby) Wilson of Junction City, Kansas, Bette Sims (Sammie) of Shawnee, Kansas, and Brenda Young of Roanoke, Virginia, and his nephew, Samuel Sims of Overland Park, Kansas, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Carnell Ward, Mother, Bernia Ward, and Sisters, Beverly Ward, and Bernice Colbert.
Visitation will be held on January 17, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Penwell-Gabel Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, 14275 South Black Bob Road, Olathe, Kansas 66062
Memorial service will be held on January 17, 2025 at 3:00 PM with the Reverend J.W. Ward officiating.
