Carl Thompkins, Sr.
Carl Thompkins Sr., 72, of Olathe, KS passed away Sunday March 30, 2008 at Olathe Medical Center.
He was born August 21, 1935 in Hartville, MO, the son of Amos Byron and Beatrice (Mainer) Thompkins. He enjoyed family gatherings, fishing and spending hours daily at Frisco Lake watching the people and the wildlife.
Survivors includes two sons, Carl Thompkins Jr. (Lorna) of Olathe, KS and James (Jimbo) Thompkins of Denver, Co; three daughters, Glenda Gore (Charles), Rita Paige, and Tracy Venerable (Myron) all of Olathe, KS; two brothers, Dillard Thompkins (Shirley) of Olathe, KS and Lloyd Glenn Thompkins (Myrtle) of Springfield, MO; six sisters, Dorles Perkins (Kenneth) and Shirley Price (Charles) of Hartville, Mo; Ima June Loudermill (Lee) of Springfield, Mo; Wilda Winslett (Dennis), Carolyn Kay Taylor, and Kathleen Simmons all of Olathe, KS; twelve grandchildren and seven Great-grandchildren.
