Cameron Harold Foerster (75) of Overland Park, Kansas passed away in his home on September 23, 2020. Cameron was born on January 15, 1945 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Lila and Harold Foerster.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Marilyn Foerster, daughter Jennifer Foerster Krivoshey, son Nicholas Cameron Foerster, son-in-law Ariel Krivoshey, daughter-in-law Maura Miles Foerster, granddaughter Madeleine Louise Krivoshey, sister Susan Phillips, brother James Kolb and wife Dorothy, and many nieces, nephews, and loving cousins.
Cameron graduated from Ferguson High School in St. Louis, Missouri. He graduated from Northeast Missouri State College in Kirksville, Missouri with a Bachelor Degree in Industrial Arts Education and a minor in Business. He was an Eagle Scout, a church usher, a Cub Scout leader, a coach, and mentor to many.
During his working career, Cameron was a teacher, a restaurant manager and owner, a realtor, a small business owner, and a sales manager. His most loved job was driving a school bus during his retirement years. His most unusual job was being Santa Claus at the local mall, one time arriving by helicopter in full costume to the wonder and glee of multiple children.
Cameron had a big heart and infinite love for his family, home, sports, conversation, and the little things that put a gigantic smile on his face every time you saw him. He had immense joy in spending time with those he loved dearly, being a Grandfather and playing with his little Sweet Pea, making his and his children's homes a place of comfort and beauty, helping Marilyn check things off her bucket list, driving a school bus, captaining boats and relaxing on the lake, driving fast cars and motorcycles, eating pizza and smoking cigars, and watching the Chiefs, KU basketball, and countless home improvement and game shows. He never left the house without his ball cap and loved listening to the oldies in his jeep. He was a charitable man, and enjoyed helping those in need and giving too many presents during Christmas time.
Cameron and his wife Marilyn are members of Village on Antioch Presbyterian Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family would be honored if donations were made to support his nephew, Jason Ortwerth in his fundraising of Desmoid Tumor Research (www.dtrf.org) or supporting children with special needs through Special Olympics.
