Byron Edwin Scheidt

Byron E. Scheidt, age 95, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away November 8, 2024. 

He was born June 22, 1929 in Wilder, Kansas to Ernest and Ola Scheidt, the youngest of six children.

Byron worked for the Garney Companies and later retired after several years of dealing in real estate. His hobbies included bowling, fishing and gardening. He also enjoyed watching the Chiefs, Royals and Jayhawks.

He was active in New Hope Presbyterian Church (of America), in Olathe, KS for over 35 years and then became a member of Tabernacle Presbyterian Church in Waynesboro, VA after moving to Stuarts Draft, VA for a short time. 

He is survived by his wife, Carol, of the home, and his children David Scheidt and wife Becki, of Olathe, KS, Dean Scheidt and fiancé Angela Williams of Stuarts Draft, VA, and Craig Scheidt of Gilbert, AZ, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. 

Byron was preceded in death by his five siblings.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to New Hope Presbyterian Church of Olathe, KS.
