Brooke Carmen Callahan

Brooke Carmen (Hoshor) Callahan, age 41, of Olathe, KS passed away April 19, 2025 at home.

She was a cherished daughter, sister and mother, loved by many, and now is free as a bird.

She is preceded in death by her father, Jerry Hoshor, and brother, Jeremy Hoshor.

She is survived by her mother, Wendy Oakes, her sisters Darcie Burnett and Bethany Oakes, her children, Trenaty Callahan, Darren Callahan, Hailey Callahan, and their father, Robert Callahan.

Brooke was born on May 21, 1983 to  Jerry D Hoshor and Wendy Hoshor (Oakes) of Overland Park, KS.  She became a girl scout, joined a bowling league, and enjoyed her free time with friends while growing up in Olathe.

Brooke attended Olathe East High School then went on to work at Gordmans as a manager, followed by Ann Taylor, and she was most recently employed with Smoke -N-Fire for the past 15 years.

Brooke had an adventurous soul and a zest for life, whether she was dancing at a concert, lighting up the sky with fireworks, braving rollercoasters, or dreaming about skydiving, she embraced every moment with enthusiasm and courage. Music was the soundtrack of her life.  Brooke would sing along to anything, with a special love for country songs and the energy of live rock shows.   Sentimental at heart, she cherished time with the people she loved.   Sweet and strong in equal measure, Brooke's resilience and warmth leaves a lasting impact on everyone lucky enough to know her.
