Brian M. Berg passed away on June 1, 2013, surrounded by family. He spent the past three months at Villa St. Francis receiving hospice care.

Brian was born July 7, 1939, in Superior, WI, to Mahlon and Jean Berg.

Brian graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Wisconsin in Superior, WI, where he met his wife, Mary Lou, of nearly fifty two years.

Brian earned his Master's Degree from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL while teaching in the Waukegan, IL Public School System.

Brian was a counselor and teacher in the Cloquet, MN Public School System from 1969 until he retired in 1993.

Brian was preceded in death by his parents and brother, James.

Brian is survived by his wife, Mary Lou, and two daughters, Jean Roof (Scott), Laurie Plankers (Jim). He was a loving grandpa to one grandson, John, and six granddaughters, Alison, Kristine, Amanda, Madeline, Nicole, and Emma. He is also survived by his brother David, sister Barbara Almanzo (Dave), brother- in-law Fred Gross (JoAnn) and many nieces and nephews.
