Abraham "Braam" C. Jansen van Rensburg, 51, of Drexel, passed away on July 15, 2018. He was born on May 12, 1967 to Jacobus and Dorothea (Botma) Jansen van Rensburg in Groblersdal, South Africa.
Braam grew up in Steynsrus, South Africa. He met Esme at the North-West University, where he studied Pharmacology. Braam and Esme were married in Pretoria, South Africa on December 7, 1990. They had three beautiful children (Salome, Tally and Christiaan) and one grandson (Luka). Braam and Esme moved with their three children to California in November of 2002. After working for corporate America for many years in a pharmacy (Target & Rite Aid), Braam bought Drexel Pharmacy in 2014. He spent most days in the pharmacy, but made sure he spent as much of his free time as possible with Esme and his kids. He loved doing projects at home and playing golf with his son and daughter. With the birth of his grandson in May of this year, his cup overflowed. He wanted to spend all of his time with his precious grandbaby.
Braam was the kindest, most gentle soul and was loved by all who met him. He filled a room with laughter with his endless jokes.
Braam is survived by his loving wife, Esme; children; Salome Fourie, Talitha & Christiaan Jansen van Rensburg.
A memorial service will be held at 5 PM on Tuesday July 24, 2018 at Olathe Bible Church, 13700 151st St, Olathe, KS 66062.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Charles Stanley as his foundation (InTouch Ministries) was very close to Braam's heart.
