Bonnie Jo Turpen, 87, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2024. She was born on December 26, 1936 in University Park, Iowa to Harold and Elsie (Wilson) McWilliams.
She graduated from Turner High School in Turner, Kansas. Besides raising her two sons, Bonnie worked as a hairdresser, and most recently worked as a licensed insurance agent in the insurance industry in both Kansas and New Mexico. Bonnie loved spending time with her family, including her dogs.
Bonnie is survived by her sons, Taylor Horst and Timothy Horst, siblings, Judy Auldridge and Jerry McWilliams, three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Elsie McWilliams, and siblings, Beverly Davis, Jim McWilliams, and Gene McWilliams.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in Bonnie's memory be made to Olathe Hospice House. If you prefer to donate by mail, make your check payable to OHCF and mail to:
