Bonnie Faye Hostetler, 88 of Shawnee (recently Olathe), Kansas, passed away November 25, 2023. She was born November 2, 1935 in Crosby County, Texas, the daughter of Houston and Lora (Shannon) Roberts.
Bonnie graduated from Kress High School in 1953. She and her beloved husband Stan married in 1953 and were married for 60 years. They raised a family and ran a business together, Hostetler & Associates, Inc.¸ Court Reporting.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband Stanley G. Hostetler, her sons Scott A. Hostetler and David N. Hostetler, her parents Houston and Lora (Shannon) Roberts and sister Virginia A. Roberts.
Bonnie loved to garden, cook, sew and travel with her husband. She was the family historian who researched and compiled the family genealogy, photo albums and planned many family reunions. She loved spending time with her family and close friends and for years hosted family Sunday dinners and holiday and birthday parties.
She is survived by her sons, Kelly Hostetler, Tucson, Arizona, Stephen (Susan) Hostetler, Shawnee, Kansas, Douglas Hostetler, Olathe, Kansas. Siblings Mary (Kenneth) Tinkle of Hereford, Texas, Leon (Carol) Roberts of Azle, Texas, Ronnie (Becky) Roberts of Lubbock, Texas. She also leaves behind 6 grandchildren Heather (Curt) Coutts, Gardner, Kansas, Sally (Shannon) Moore, Shawnee, Kansas, Alan (Chris) Hostetler, Harrisonville, Missouri, Laura (Will) Reese, Overland Park, Kansas, Shayla (Jonny Wright) Riley (Hostetler), Spring Hill, Kansas, Stephen (Alexandra) Hostetler, Mission, Kansas. She also leaves behind thirteen great grandchildren Kelsey Standen, Shannon, Braydon & Juddson Moore, Brianna Hostetler, Jillian, Meredith, Thompson, Genevieve, Eloise & Jackson Reese, Locklan & Vallyn Riley and great great grandson Kobe Jacobs. She will be greatly missed by all her many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
