Bobby Melvin Wise

Bobby Melvin Wise, 88, of Olathe, passed away on October 3, 2019 at Olathe Medical Center.

He was born on November 29, 1930 to Roy and Adella (Kingery) Wise at Aurora, MO.

Bobby was a drummer in the Rockin' Tones band in Wichita, Kansas, in the 1950's and 1960's.

He worked in commercial construction most of his career, and he was involved in the building of several Olathe schools and renovation of the Park Cherry Building.

On November 5, 1983, he married Forestyne "Frosty" Faith Fenske, and they made their home in Olathe, Kansas.

He enjoyed camping, fishing, and playing pool.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Frosty, and children Vickie Garcia, Valerie Keimig, Russell Wise, Larry Wise, Sherri May, Edwina Wise, Darren Wise, and Jennifer Wise, 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Betty Jo Allen, his brother Donnie Wise, and his grandson Derek May.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Bob at a later time. Burial will be in Wichita, Kansas.

The family is grateful for condolences but respectfully declines flowers and donations.
