Bob D. DeVault, 83, of Overland Park, passed away on October 4, 2020 at Heritage of Overland Park.
He was born on April 11, 1937 to Leland and Ona (Wiard) DeVault in Hutchinson, KS.
Bob graduated from Buhler High School in 1955. He then went on to Hutchinson Junior College and graduated in 1959. Bob then graduated in 1961 with a Bachelor's Degree from Emporia State University. Bob was an Accountant for 37 years. He worked for Lindburg Vogel, CPA.
On June 10, 1961, he married Sharon Rae DeVault (Jones). Bob and Sharon lived together in Hutchinson, Kansas for 58 years. They moved to the Kansas City area in 2019.
Bob joined the Air Force Reserve in 1961. He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, and Highlands Country Club. Bob was always involved in Boy Scouts, loving the outdoors and never met a golf course he didn't like. He was an avid Kansas State fan and sent his three children there for college.
Bob is survived by his loving Wife of 59 years, Sharon; Son, Jerry R. DeVault, wife Karyn (Swanson) of Sedalia, CO, their children Ross, Jack, and Corinne; Daughter, Edie B. Russell, husband Tom of Morton, IL, children James, Sarah, and Jessica Larson, and Lauren and Ian Russell; Son, Larry D. DeVault, wife Jennifer (Peninger) of Olathe, KS, their children Renee, and Ryan. Bob is also survived by his brothers, John DeVault, wife Norma of Clearwater, KS, and Garry DeVault, wife Dede of Hutchinson, KS, as well as many nieces and nephews, and Bobbie Lonker, close family relative.
He was preceded in death by his Sisters, Marjorie Baerg, Eileen Griffith, and Alice Hollinger; Brothers, Robert, Don, Richard, Kenneth, and Keith DeVault.
A private graveside will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson, KS at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith United Methodist Church, 820 E 30th Ave, Hutchinson, KS 67502.
