Billy Joe Morgan

Billy Joe Morgan, 66, of Overland Park (Morris Village), Kansas, passed away at his home on Friday, August 29, 2008. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Camp Quality Northwest Missouri, P.O. Box 9044 St. Joseph, MO 64507.

Billy Joe was born December 26, 1941 at his home in Buzzard Roost, Illinois to Willie and Effie Morgan. He was graduate of Waltonville High School in Waltonville, Illinois. Following graduation he moved to Kansas City, Missouri where he became a barber. He was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. After the war, he returned to the Kansas City area went to work for Kinneys Plumbing in Olathe where he worked for 36 years. His hobby and love was his antique Farmall tractors that he enjoyed, and loved to talk about and show in Parades.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter; Cynthia Morgan, 6 brothers and 5 sisters.

He is survived by four sisters, Maggie Ransom, Dorothy Mays, Irma Grant, and Gloria McNeil; a brother, Robert Lewis Morgan, and many nieces and nephews.
