Bill B. Belcher, 76, passed away peacefully on Fri, February 20, 2015.

Bill was born Jan. 21, 1939 in Harrison, AR to Clarence and Gayle (Vacha) Belcher. Bill grew up in Wichita, KS and graduated from Wichita West High School in 1956. After high school, he served in the Air Force until 1960. He received Air Traffic Control training while in the service and then worked for the Federal Aviation Agency as an Air Traffic Controller in Kansas City, MO. In 1962, Olathe became the FAA Center and Bill worked there until his retirement. He married Carlotta Dorst Smith in 1962. Bill was a member of the Masons, Eastern Star and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Bill's passion was grilling all kinds of foods for his family and friends. He loved working outside and maintaining a swimming pool for the family's use.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Loren and Larry and in-laws Dale and Mildred Dorst.
He is survived by his wife Carlotta of 52 years and his daughters Jennifer (John) Woodward, Topeka, KS; Cathy (Jeff) Brinkman, Lee's Summit, MO; and Carla (Joe) Bloyd, Olathe, KS and nine wonderful grandchildren; Jill Smith, Jeff (Rebecca) Woodward, Allison Brinkman, Jennifer Brinkman, Taylor Belcher, Scott Brinkman, Joshua Woodward, Jacob Bloyd and Kohlman Bloyd and six precious great grandsons: Nate, Gabe, Blaise, Eli, Josiah and Ike and one sister Clarissa Johnson, Escalon, CA, one brother in-law and two sister-in-laws and many nieces and nephews.
