Beverly Ann Owens went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, December 11, 2017 at the age of 75. The day before, she attended a song and worship service where she praised the Lord by playing piano and singing the solo, "I Believe in a Hill Called Mount Calvary."
Beverly married the love of her life at age 27, Sam Owens of Covington, Texas. They were married 47 years and had two daughters, Jennifer and Amy Owens, as she lovingly called "her girl babies."
She had a gentle soul and loved music, her major at Oklahoma Baptist University. She would hum while doing just about anything. It was a subconscious habit and if you said anything to her about it, she would say, "Oh, was I humming? I didn't notice."
Beverly served her Lord as pianist for 59 years at various churches, most recently Blue Valley Baptist Church. She was part of the Library team and loved her work with the Library Ladies.
Beverly loved planning the Wall Family Reunion each year. She took so much joy in it and seeing all of the family together and happy.
Her mother Thelma Hill preceded her in death on May 11, 2017. Beverly is survived by her husband, Sam Owens and daughters Jennifer Owens and Amy Owens.
Her memorial service will be on Monday, December 18, 2017, at 2 pm at Blue Valley Baptist Church, 8800 W 151st St., Overland Park, Kansas 66221.
