Marie was born October 31, 1929 in Nashville, TN. She was married to Richard J. Dixon on May 28, 1948, and they raised their family in Rantoul, Illinois. They moved to the Olathe area in 2000.
She is survived by her mother, Annie Mae Kizer, her children; Dennis & wife Diane of Chesapeake, VA, Glen & wife Sher of St. Joseph, Ill., Brian & wife Diane of Napa, CA, Teresa & husband Gordie Carter of Dixon, CA, and Sandy Miller of Olathe, KS., grandchildren; Kenneth Dixon, Dustin Sjuts, Melanie Dixon, Maegan Miller, Coy & Brady DePratt, and Dalton Dixon, and great grandchildren; Zachary & Christian Dixon, her brothers; Michael Kizer and wife Janice of Rantoul, Ill., Bill Kizer and wife Sandy of Sunbury, OH, and her sister Shirley Nowell of Sanford, NC.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, in 2006, and her sister Dorothy Donohue.
