Betty Wittenborn

Betty Wittenborn, 95 of Lenexa, Kansas (formerly of Fairway Manor, KS), passed away Friday, September 04, 2009 at Lakeview Village in Lenexa. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to St. Johns United Church of Christ, LaCrosse Wisconsin or The Barn Players Community Theater of Mission Kansas.
Betty was born August 9, 1914 to Emil and Hattie Hauser in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. She received her Teaching degree from the University of Wisconsin in LaCrosse, WI and later received her Master's Degree from the University of Kansas. She taught primary education in LaCrosse and Neenah Wisconsin and served as a Special Education teacher at University of Kansas Medical Center.
Betty was a member of Second Presbyterian Church for over 50 years, and was a volunteer for the Barn Players Community Theater. She was a garden club member and enjoyed gardening.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister; Lois Nelson, and brother; Noel Hauser.
Survivors include sons; John and wife Beverly Wittenborn of Olathe, Kansas and Scott Wittenborn and wife Katherine Kwic of Park City, Utah, a brother; Edward Hauser of Madison, Wisconsin, "B.B." as she was affectionately know by her grandchildren; Grant and wife Michelle, Brian, Elizabeth, and Eric, and greatgrandson; Owen Wittenborn.
