Betty Lou Wilson, 87 of Olathe, KS passed away on December 24th, 2017 surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Garfield, Arkansas, on January 29th, 1930 as an identical twin to her beloved sister, Ida Mae Tilford. Betty spent her working career as a beautician for the Jones Store Company in Prairie Village. Betty was recognized as the number 1 stylist for over 10 years by the Jones/ Mercantile,102 stores nationally. She received several awards and was sent to many advanced training courses by Jones/Mercantile Stores.
Betty loved to work and do good works. She spent many hours, as a good stewardess of her church, New Hope Presbyterian Church of Olathe. Betty loved the lord. She loved doing beautiful quilting, cross-stitch and sewing. She spent many hours hand making jewelry, that she often gave to others.
Betty was pre-ceded in death by her husband of sixty six years, T. Scott Wilson Jr., her twin sister Ida Mae, her other eight brothers and sisters and her parents Markus and Rose Tilford, of Garfield, AR.
Betty is survived by two daughters, Gale Schlagel and Julie Sibala , Son-in-laws, George Schlagel and Justo Sibala, five grandchildren, Aaron, JC, Andra, Anne and Taylor and eight great-grandchildren. Surviving nieces, Tanya Henderson and husband Marc Barnard and Jan Wilson.
