Betty Taylor

Betty L. Taylor, of Olathe, KS passed away Monday March 8, 2010 at home. Funeral services will be 10AM Friday March 12 at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Olathe, KS. Burial will be at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Stanley, KS. Friends may call from 6-8PM Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Cancer Action or Wayside Waifs.

Betty was born Nov. 25, 1928 in Detroit, MI to Roy and Myrtle Gawthrop. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved to sew and was an excellent seamstress. For the past 14 years she was a cashier for Walmart, where she truly enjoyed not only the people she worked with but the many loyal customers that would only check out through her line.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her youngest son Robert D. Hatt.

She is survived by one son Fred Hatt and wife Debbie of Olathe, KS. 8 grand children, 8 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson and her beloved pets Max, Dotty, and Simba Marie.
