Betty Louise Snelgrove, 81, of Gardner, Kansas, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, October 8, 2016. Born in Springfield, Missouri on December 23, 1934, she was the oldest child of Archie and Juanita (Clark) Haeflinger. Betty grew up and attended school in Springfield, later moving with her family to Kansas City, Missouri.
As a young woman, Betty accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She knew the Bible well and used her knowledge to bless others. Leading people to Christ was one of her greatest joys, and her unfailing faith encouraged and influenced many. Betty's love of the Lord will leave an enduring legacy.
Betty was loved by her children, Norman Baker and his wife Linda of Chandler, Arizona, Cynthia D'Agostino and her husband Paul of Independence, Missouri, Steven Baker of Indian Harbour Beach, Florida, and Rachel Olson and her husband Rob of Olathe, Kansas. She also leaves behind four sisters, three brothers, eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of twenty years, Herbert Snelgrove.
The family will receive guests for a visitation on Thursday, October 13, 2016, from 1:00-2:00 pm at Penwell Gabel Funeral Home in Olathe followed by the funeral service at 2:00 pm.
