Betty Schall

August 8, 1939 — July 6, 2023

Betty June (Edson) Schall 08/08/1939 – 07/06/2023

Betty is survived by her three daughters and their families: Tammy & Casey Turnbull, Jackie & Doug Caldwell, and Sandy Rapp. She leaves behind many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and friends.

Betty was born in Loup City, NE. to Delmar and Gladys Edson. She was the third of six children. Betty lived on a farm growing up outside of Mason City, NE.
She attended school in Mason City NE. and graduated in 1957. She married in 1958 and had three daughters Tammy, Jackie, & Sandy.

The family moved to Broken Bow, NE where all the girls attended school. Betty worked while raising her girls and attended Interior Design school. She moved to Kearney, NE. where she opened a small interior design studio and started her career. Betty was always known as a hard worker, and the testimonials from her interior design clients will tell that story. Betty had clients that stayed with her for years, and they always knew they could trust her.

Betty moved to Kansas City and made it her home for the last 40 years. Color has been a big part of Betty's life. Along with interior design, she worked for Beauty for all Seasons and did individual color analysis for clients.

Betty was very proud of her family and loved spending time with them. She survived a severe brain aneurysm in 2015 and fought her way back to living independently for the last 8 years. Her work ethic came shining through when she was in rehab and determined to live on her own again.

Fondest memories of Betty include:
- Her spicy personality
- Love of dancing
- Her attitude of Never Giving Up

"Color should be a big part of your life from decorating your house to the colors you wear." Betty never shied away from letting you know if you weren't wearing the correct colors for your skin tone and season.

You made our lives colorful Mom; you will be missed.
