Betty Menyang Okao, 59, of Overland Park, passed away on May 23, 2018 at Overland Park Regional Medical Center.
She was born on May 1, 1959 to Ernest and Jerogedo (Atim) Menyang in Lira, Uganda.
Betty worked as a Cosmetology Instructor for 20 years.
On December 5, 1989, she married Alfred Okao. Betty and Alfred lived in Ponca City, OK, Stillwater, OK, Manhattan, KS, eventually settling in Overland Park, KS.
She was a member of Association of Cosmetology Educators. Betty enjoyed nature, making a difference in young lives, and helping the unfortunate.
Betty is survived by her loving husband, Alfred, and her sister, Florence.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings.
Private family services will be held.
