Betty Lewis

Betty J. Lewis, 67, of Newella, OK formerly of Paola, KS passed away Thursday April 9, 2009 at home. Graveside services will 12:30 PM, Monday, April 13th at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Kansas City, KS. Friends may call from 11-12 Monday at the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Olathe, KS. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Foster Grandparents Program at Cottonwood Elementary School in Paola, KS

Mrs. Lewis was born June 29, 1941 in Kansas City, KS to Bonar and Adaline Cook. Before retiring she was a nurses aid for 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Two brothers William, and Ardell Cook, One Sister Tressie Ova and one grand daughter Crystal Miller.

She is survived by her husband Harold D. Lewis of the home. One daughter Betty Minson or Newalla, OK. Five sons Ernest Miller of Drury, MO, Lonnie Miller of Wellsville, KS, Kevin Miller of Richmond, KS, Austin Miller of Wellsville, KS and Kenneth Miller of Garnett, KS. 20 Grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Three sisters Claudia Dutton of Stockton, CA, Wanda Ballou of Coeur d' Alene, ID, and LaBeth Burch of Bolivar, MO, as well as one brother Allin Cook of Lansing, KS
