Betty Jane Kiker

Betty Jane Kiker, 93, passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025. Private graveside service will be held by the family.

Betty was born on November 20, 1931 in Frederick, Oklahoma to Thomas "T.C." and Loveta (Limberg) Willbanks. She was a graduate of Frederick High School and later married Theo Arlen Kiker while he was actively serving in the U.S. Army, stationed in San Antonio. After Theo’s honorable discharge, they moved to South Dakota where they farmed and raised their family. During their 68 years of marriage, they lived in South Dakota, Arizona, Texas Panhandle, and Olathe, Kansas before recently returning to Canyon, TX. She always supported Theo as his bookkeeper in their businesses which included farming, insurance, commodity brokerage and rental properties.

Betty will be lovingly remembered by her family for her love and the legacy she leaves behind. She was passionate about her family and made everything uniquely special for everyone. Holidays were dear to her heart, creating traditions and teaching skills to be carried on for generations. She loved decorating extensively for all occasions. She was the perfect hostess, treating every family member with their favorite foods on every occasion. They will greatly miss her loving spirit and caring heart.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Theo Kiker, her parents, T.C. and Loveta Willbanks, and four siblings, Fred Willbanks, Weldon Willbanks, Earnestine Little, and Imogene Schrick.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Debra Schriber and husband, Brad of Sioux Falls, SD and Diane Daniels and husband, Scott of Canyon; four granddaughters, Jaclyn and Rick Haley of Waconia, MN, Jennifer and Jason Boll of Hartford, SD, Kristen and Cooter DeBow of Canyon, TX, and Andrea and Michael Johnston of Canyon, TX; ten great-grandchildren; and one sister, JoAnn Woods, of Stillwater , OK (formerly of Frederick, OK.)
