Betty L. Hern, 75, Olathe, Kansas passed away Thursday, May 8, 2008 at Overland Park Regional Medical Center. The family suggests contributions to Children's Mercy Hospital.
Betty was born May 12, 1932 in Halfway, MO. to Duvall and Myrtle Dukes. She was formerly of Belton, Missouri before moving to Olathe in 2000. She was a stitcher operator for Stone Container Company in Kansas City, Kansas where she retired in 1990 after 16 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Hern in 2000; son, Kevin Cunningham in 1997; brother, Dwayne Dukes in 1993; brother, Bobby Dale Dukes in 2004.
She leaves her children; Mary (Dan) Collins and Bill (Judy) Cunningham; stepchildren; Bud (Jackie) Hern and Judy (Clint) Horton; brother, Junior (Doris) Dukes; 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and bingo friends.
