BETH ANN BEBB HERMAN was born December 10, 1948 to Aldon M. Bebb and Maxine Christine Carlson Bebb in Superior, Wisconsin. She attended schools in Pittsburg, Kansas where she was active in Girl Scouts and piano lessons. She then attended and graduated from Baker University with a bachelors degree in elementary education. The summer after her freshman year in college, she participated in a Girl Scout International Exchange Program to Paraguay. Here, she stayed at home to raise her family. Her children are Matthew S. Herman and Emily R. Herman.
In addition to being a full-time stay–at-home mother, she was a member of the Junior Service League of Olathe, leader of her daughter's Girl Scout Troop, was a piano teacher for 14 years, an active school volunteer, member of the Olathe Historical Society, a member of the Alpha Chi Omega Alumni Chapter, active in two bridge groups, and a substitute teacher in the Olathe School system for 14 years.
In 1978, Beth became a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Olathe. Beth was a VBS leader, took leadership in the Presbyterian Women, was a long-time Sunday School teacher, helped with children's music, was in charge of Sunday attendance, was an ordained Deacon and Elder, assisted in meal planning and cooking for the Wednesday Christian Education program, was chairman of the kitchen design and revitalization project, a Camp CUMCITO volunteer, and participated for 6 years in Bible Study Fellowship.
In recent years, Beth and her husband divorced and Beth taught in the International Language Program for the Olathe School District. Her survivors include her son, Matthew S.
