Bessie V. Chiddix, 90, of Kansas City, KS passed away Tuesday April 5, 2011 at home. The family suggests contributions to the Emmanuel Baptist Church, 8822 Parallel Parkway, Kansas City, KS.
Bessie was born June 7 1920 in Green Mountain, MO, where she attended High School, before attending Nursing school in St. Louis, MO. and then went on to join the Army as a nurse during WWII, while serving in France she met her future husband Charles James Chiddix, following the war they moved back to Kansas City, KS where they wed in 1946. She worked as a nurse at Providence Hospital before becoming a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters.
She is survived by her husband Charles James Chiddix of the home. One son Charles M. Chiddix and wife Jenny of Spring Hill, KS, and grandson Luke Chiddix.
