Berniece Brewer

February 4, 1926 — September 29, 2016

Berniece Irene Brewer was born to Fred and Peggy Sinner on February 4, 1926 in Severance, Colorado.

She went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at 7:23 am.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her older sister, Esther Weigel, and her younger brother, Harold Sinner.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Bill, her sister-in-law Darlene Bowlware and many nephews and nieces.

She was united in marriage on June 8, 1947 to Bill G. Brewer. This was against the Doctor's advice as she had major heart problems and was not expected to live another 6-8 years. Mrs. Brewer and the Lord had other plans though as she outlived all of her family and the Doctor.
The Brewers spent the first few years of their marriage on the family ranch in Virginia Dale, Colorado.
While living there they were very active in the Church in Fort Collins, CO. In August of 1954 they moved to Springfield, Missouri, to attend Baptist Bible College. Bro. Brewer graduated in May of 1957. Shortly after graduation they returned to Virginia Dale, CO. but a few days after arriving there they received a call to the Church in Quenemo, KS who needed a pastor. They accepted the call over the phone and they headed to Kansas. They were in Quenemo for 4 years and then moved to Bible Baptist Church in Bonner Springs, KS, where they served for 30 years as Pastor and Wife. Mrs. Brewer was very involved in their Christian School and many ladies ministries. In the fall of 1991, they relocated to Olathe, KS where they lived in the Faith Baptist Church Parsonage. While Bro. Brewer traveled as a Missionary Evangelist Mrs. Brewer served in the Faith Baptist School and took care of the Church Missions Apartment.

Mrs. Brewer came to know the Lord as her personal Savior as a young teenager at the Church in Greeley, CO. From that time on she has served the Lord faithfully. Mrs. Brewer's desire grew to serve the Lord as a Pastor's wife. She shared her husband's love for missions and was a great example to others of a virtuous woman. She was able to travel to many of the 50 states and several foreign countries encouraging all those that she met. As she shared her life as a Daughter, Sister, Wife, Pastor's Wife, Aunt and Friend to many, she will be greatly missed!
