Benjamin Keith Hudson

Benjamin (Ben) Keith Hudson, 56, of Topeka, KS, passed away on May 7, 2016 at KU Medical Center after a brief illness.

Ben was born October 10, 1959 in Wurzburg, Germany the son of Gary L Hudson, Sr and Vonita (Brune) Hudson. Ben grew up in Riley, KS and graduated from Riley County High School. He went on to receive a certificate from North Central Kansas Technical College in Beloit, KS.

Ben was a concrete finisher over the majority of his working career. He enjoyed fishing, camping and grilling.

Ben married Elizabeth (Johnson) Hudson of Junction City, KS on December 1, 2000 in Manhattan, KS. She survives. He is also survived by son Kenneth Hudson (Erin) of Mason City, IA; daughters Carol Hudson of Mason City, IA and Lindsay Hudson of Bixby, OK; step-son Shaun Vinson of Buffalo, MO; step-daughter Daun Savage (Ben) of Junction City, KS; and 8 grandchildren and 4 step-grandchildren.

Ben is also survived by his parents of Topeka, KS; brother Gary L Hudson, Jr of Topeka, KS; sisters Vicky Welch of North Kansas City, MO, Cindy Jones (Mel) of Manhattan, KS and Jennifer Oppliger (Chris) of Overland Park, KS; and many nieces and nephews.

Honoring his request, Ben was cremated. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 29, 2016 from 1:00–4:00pm at the Leonardville Community Building, 118 N Erpelding Rd, Leonardville, KS 66449.
