Barbara Ann Schwery, 56, of Olathe, KS passed away Saturday July 13, 2013 at Olathe Medical Center. In lieu of flowers we suggest donations to Special Olympics Kansas, 1133 19th St. NW, Washington DC 20036 www.ksso.org

Barb was born Sept 12, 1956 in Harlan, IA to Richard and Mary Klitgaard. She married Joel Schwery Aug. 27, 1983. Barb excelled in many careers but her love was her family, children and grandchildren, her church and her friends. Although Barb struggled with her diabetes for many years she touched many lives with her love, compassion, understanding and Christian Values. She fought her battles with class and optimism.
She was preceded in death by her mother Mary Klitgaard and father in law Melvin Schwery

She is survived by her husband Joel Schwery and daughters Heather Adler (Jeff) and Laura Schwery, grandchildren Derek and Lexie. She is also survived by her father Richard Klitgaard and brothers Steve Klitgaard(Carolue), and Don Klitgaard (Laurel), Sister Jane Buck (Larry), mother in law Verelda Schwery and many other in laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
