Barbara Dunn

BARBARA R. DUNN, 87, of Overland Park, KS, passed away peacefully Friday, February 28, 2014 after a brief illness.

Barbara was born to Helen Rigdon Jennett and Gerald Rigdon of Connersville, IN in 1926. She graduated from Connersville High School and earned a BS degree from Purdue University. She and her husband, Robert, raised their family in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and then moved to the Olathe, KS area in 1973.
Barbara was a lifelong homemaker. She was a Master Gardener, a member and former president of the F.L. Chapter of P.E.O., and founding member of the Christian Gathering Class of Grace United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughter Anne Stockman (Dave) and sons Mark Dunn (Becky) and John Dunn; six grandchildren Olivia Stockman Splinter (Joe), Kyle Stockman (Cindy), Haley Bury (Michael), Colin Dunn (Ee), Katherine Dunn and Andrew Dunn, and four great-grandchildren Caleb and Elijah Stockman and Penny and Johnny Bury. She was preceded in death by her husband, and a brother.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Olathe Medical System or Grace United Methodist Church.
