Surrounded by her loving family, Avery Marie Jackson, precious baby daughter of Heather and Brandon Jackson, passed away at home on February 4, 2021, and was greeted in heaven by her brother, Hunter. Although Avery's time on this earth was brief, she touched many lives. Her big brother Maverick never failed to let her know how much she was loved, giving her good night kisses and hugs. His dog, Sparkles, watched over her in his absence. She will never be forgotten.
Avery was born on September 22, 2020 with a rare seizure disorder. She spent much of her life at Children's Mercy Hospital where she received excellent care by exceptional staff. Avery was able to spend time at home with her family for Thanksgiving and Christmas, but her seizures were uncontrollable, and her final days were spent in a medically induced coma.
Avery was predeceased by her brother Hunter and is survived by her mother and father; brother Maverick Jackson; grandparents Danny and Jody Jackson; grandmother Cathie Fisher; uncles Chase Jackson, Shaun (Kady) Cramer and David Cramer; aunts Mallory Jackson, Jessica (Ryan) Slater and Melissa (Allen) Dillon; cousins Ryder Slater, Landon Cramer, Lexi Dillon and Liam Dillon.
Visitation will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 11, 2021, at Penwell Gabel, 14275 South Black Bob Road, Olathe, with interment in Pleasant Valley Cemetery at 3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, Avery's parents request donations to Children's Mercy Hospital.
