Anthony Ray Waterman, 46, of Olathe Kansas passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2014 unexpectedly at his home. Tony was born March 19, 1967 in Kalamazoo, MI. He graduated from Portage Central High School in 1985 and enlisted in the United States Army. He met and married Cynthia Ancira in 1989 and they had a son, Garrett Ray Waterman in 1991. Tony spent over 20 years in law enforcement as a military police officer and Lieutenant of the Lansing Police Department in Lansing, KS. He received a Bachelor's of Science in Human Resources, a Master's of Science in Management and Organizational Leadership, and a Nursing Home Administrator's License. He spent 2 years in Iraq and returned to the US in 2009, retiring from law enforcement. He married Kelley Goodwin in 2008, gaining three stepchildren, Alexandria Heuer, Alyssa Heuer, and Michael Heuer. Tony and Kelley had one daughter, Olivia Grace Waterman in 2010. After retiring from law enforcement in 2009, Tony discovered a new passion he greatly enjoyed, serving the elderly community. He became the Director of Vintage Park Assisted Living in Gardner, KS. Tony was very passionate about politics, KU Jayhawks, and the Dallas Cowboys. The pride of his life was his wife and children. He is survived by his wife Kelley; sons Garrett Waterman and Michael Heuer; Daughters Alexandria Heuer, Alyssa Heuer, Olivia Waterman; mother Janice Lively of Golden, MO; father and step-mother Walter and Lawren Starner of Crystal River, FL; brother Jonas Dolphin (Erica) of Greenville, MI; former spouse Cynthia Ancira Waterman of Tulsa, OK.
